The CUTG Proceedings series of volumes from Peter Lang appeared in 4 volumes from 1999 to 2002. The serties presented a selection of papers given at the annual Conference of University Teachers of German in Great Britain and Ireland (now the Association for German Studies in the Great Britain and Ireland). The volumes are intentionally broad-based, bringing together articles on literary and cultural studies, language and linguistics, media studies and institutions, to reflect the range of scholarly activity being conducted by Germanists and also to meet the needs of teachers of modern languages whose interests increasingly cover wider areas.
