The AGS currently offers three types of grant:
- Research and travel grants of up to £500 (or the equivalent in euros) intended to assist current and recent postgraduate members who are in precarious employment to carry out research relating to any area of German studies.
- Publication grants of up to £800 (or the equivalent in Euros) intended to support early-career researchers who require financial support for a substantial publication relating to any area of German studies.
- Conference grants of up to £800 (or the equivalent in Euros) in support of the organisation of conferences and pedagogic workshops held in the UK or Ireland and which are concerned with research, teaching and learning relating to any area of German studies.
