WIGS/AGS Diversity and Inclusivity Survey

In 2021/22, we ran the first ever Equity, Diversity and Inclusivity Survey in British and Irish German Studies, in collaboration with Women in German Studies (WIGS). The project was led by I. M. Nick and Claire Ross. Its results provided valuable insights for the sector, and a number of recommendations were produced on the basis of the findings. We plan to re-run this survey at regular intervals and to report on the progress made based on the results and recommendations.

We are now running the second iteration of the survey, which is designed to help the executive committees of AGS and W+IGS learn more about the membership of our associations and improve our services. All of the information you provide is optional, anonymous, and will be kept completely confidential. A high-level summary report of the survey results will be shared and discussed with the wider membership.
